Definition of knick-knacks:

Trifles or toys; articles of small value, for show, and not for use.

Hmmm..... mine is a very prized article of small value; it sits on my windowsill - its carved out of a coconut shell with a silver lizard sitting on top. Purchased in Bali some years ago - We had something called sunshine and warm days there? Actually its been a lovely day here today too, but I've been stuck in the office.
