A Perfect Bloom

......... plus a little visitor ;-)

When I bought the bedding plants a few weeks ago I had a quick look on the ‘reduced’ trolley at the garden centre. There was a tray of six small sorry looking plants, I had no idea what they were as I didn’t recognise the leaves and the label had gone missing. They were drastically reduced down to 60p, so I thought I’d take a chance.
We potted them up and they seemed to respond well, then a few days later I spotted a naughty squirrel tucking into them like I had put out a green salad for his lunch - grrrrrr. I ran out and chased him off and moved the pot to a part of the garden that the squirrels rarely go. They didn’t seem to do much after that but a few days ago they suddenly took off and put in a growth spurt and today I spotted ( well I couldn’t miss it really ) that they had started to flower ;-)))
I’m so pleased as I really love these bright and cheerful flowers ( I think they are Zinnias ) ......... definitely worth the gamble of buying them and they brightened up my mood after a checkup at the dentist resulted in the need for fillings.
Then later we had a downpour, so no need to water the garden either ;-))
