Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

The boiler service man came this morning, so Archie and I stayed in for him while JR went off to the gym. She came back home with Chrissy and Christine and Dougal, whom she'd just met on the way home. Coffees all round.

I did practically nothing all day. JR kept trying to get me enthused about looking out clothes for the holiday next week. It's going to be HOT! But I was too busy watching tennis. But I would have liked to have been watching the Women's Cricket match. Plenty of time for sorting out clothes, and anyway, I have to really be in the mood... But what was good was that I found a couple of possible sandal type shoes that I'd forgotten about and JR had been telling me to go into town and buy a new pair. Phew!

JR, on the other hand, has been sorting out her wardrobe for quite some time. Her problem is that she actually has too much nice stuff and has to whittle it down. And it’s all capsule-ready!

I did manage to rally enough energy to cut the grass, as JR pointed out it's going to rain tomorrow.

JR took Archie out for two walks.
