Out with the girls
I've completed the anti-virals and almost all the outward signs of the shingles are gone. The pain is no longer constant but is still stabbing through the codeine from time to time. I survive...
We took the two Australian girls out for lunch today in Mirepeisset, and I grabbed this shot as we arrived back at the house.
It is of course the summer solstice today. Beginning yesterday and continuing through to tomorrow - three days in which the Sun's high point in the summer sky remains constant, before beginning the return slide.
The oak king loses the fight against the holly king... summer has peaked and winter is assured. It's also World Music Day, and in Homps and Olonzac there were multiple outbreaks of dreadful karaoke...
As we returned home from escaping the 'singing', the longest day came to an end, and the extra offers a look at our home for a few more days.
