ROSIE AND JIM

Well a pleasant day out.  Hubby, G and myself went over to Lancaster Maritime Museum today. We decided to take the car and park behind the museum  as that is much easier for G.

We arrived about 11 and was greeted by a lovely young lady who advised us that there was a party of very loud school children up in the warehouse area on a school trip.  We could still see everything but may need to skirt around the children.

We went for a coffee in the little cafe first.  A very limited cafe but enough for what we wanted.

We then toured the warehouse area where we saw this exhibit with Rosie and Jim (the wrong way round, I mean that the dolls are the wrong way round) were in a boat.  So we took loads of photos.  G and I had a bit of fun with dressing up and taking photos (see extras, Hubby disappeared rapidly at this point).

An interesting little museum which takes you through the history of maritime Lancaster, good and bad, including things about the appalling slave trade.

After that we popped into The Wheatsheaf at Beetham for lunch and got home about 3.00pm.

Hubby will be going to the pub tonight and I will need to pick them all up, may evenn need to take him down into Grange but we will find out about that soon I guess.

That's all for today, do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
