Change of mind

I couldn’t decide which rocks I was going to post tonight so you get both. Walking Wombat took the day off to chauffeur us around Augusta and the coastline up to Margaret River. What a buzz. Not only did we drive down lots of little roads we would never have even noticed, we ate too much and met all sorts of people, even a lady WW coached in squash 45 years ago. It was all go, go go.

You can see how beautiful it is here by the extras. It was a windy and rainy day at times but we saw a few whales just off shore to start the day. The scones at the lighthouse were as good as my mum used to make and Margaret River surf looking pretty ominous. There were no surfers, I’m not sure if it was because is was rough and rainy weather or because it was cold or a Wednesday afternoon on the shortest day of the year.

After all that we joined WW and Mauzee for a delicious meal of home made chicken soup. Yum. Thanks guys, you certainly spoiled us.

The table is not at WW’s house but in a gallery - cost $20,000.  It was beautiful Jarrah timber. The Leeuwin Lighthouse is the tallest in mainland Australia and is where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean, the timber is part of a waterwheel that pumped water up to the lighthouse, the manicured parklands and waterways are the caravan park. The seascapes are at Hamelin Bay and near the mouth of the Margaret River at Prevelly. The trees are in the Boranup Karri Forest.
