The Lake District

A glorious sunny day today in the lakes. Ali and I visited the Holker Hall and Garden Festival today which is within walking distance of our holiday cottage. Lots of marquees and stalls with wonderful plants and garden equipment to tempt us. We came away with some ambitious ideas. Lets hope we can make them happen.
Today's blip is is the bandstand in the middle of the festival. The trio were playing jazz so we had to to sit and listen while eating an ice cream.
Also managed to visit Holker Hall and the gardens. Lovely period manor and what a garden. Think we visited the right time of year because the flowers and shrubs were in full bloom. Lovely day.
