Distant views

Moving from Langdale to Eskdale but not over Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, the shortest way. We thought a fully loaded car and bikes on the back might cause problems so we went the long way and over the moor (also via Ambleside where I bought sunhat as I'd forgotten mine) where there was this great view.
Lunch and a short walk - rather plagued by clegs - and the descent to the valleys and up to the campsite. It was very hot again but that meant I could get some washing done and dried.
A brief shower of rain and a walk to the pub the long way round by a scenic route. The legs were surprisingly okay, as long as we went gently, and the bruises weren't a problem, though a black eye was developing.
