Hot hot hot

A week ago this was lush green grass. If ever there was an example of how hot it's been, this is it. 
It was quite overcast this morning and not too hot so we went for a walk around Furness Abbey. . It started spitting..  but that was all . Rain is forecast later this weekend.

But it was warm enough for icecream.... not a  huge cone  this time.. an ice lolly from the Visitor centre shop. No blazing sun so it didnt melt quickly.

Back home I planted out 20 begonias ( a B&M bargain at £3  and all good quality) This has filled up the bare corner in the garden where the bluebells have been.

I then decided to dye my hair which had gone  bleached and white roots arent fashionable Back to my usual light golden brown I look less washed out.
