Farewell for now

Heavy rain during the night meant that I got rained on through the ceiling vent. Unpleasant!

Leisurely start to the day. There is a little on-site café which has been closed the whole time we’ve been here, but today it was open so we were able to purchase a full English breakfast without all the work of cooking it and washing up afterwards. Luxury!

We then got ready for the adventures of the day - we drove first to one - Camaes Bay, but it was high tide, and mostly stones, so we moved on to Church Bay, which was better. We had a lovely walk on the beach and paddled in the icy water.

Then we relaxed at the Wavecrest Cafe Tea Garden, which was in a beautiful spot surrounded by fields of grazing cows and a picturesque village in the distance. The summer flowers were in bloom and I watched the bumblebees gathering pollen.

We finished the day with a lovely roast lamb, samphire, green beans and “patatas bravas” cooked by D in the confines of the van - amazing!

We sadly said goodbye to Kevin, as he has to be at work tomorrow. We will see him again later on.
