Another musical treat today. A bit of a lie-in after last night's 1pm return, then hit the road cross-country to Birmingham. As always, the satnav was relied on when in the city, and found the street where I was advised to park. Walked down through the canal district and past the library and concert hall. Lots of changes since I last visited. A pint in a pub I know well, and then headed in to the Utilita Arena. A decent seat and after a countdown clock, Peter came on stage and there followed a wonderful concert lasting almost 3 hours, with a mix of new and old songs. Out promptly and two and a half hours home thanks to empty motorways. Home at 1.40am. A rather good two days of music. This was 'In Your Eyes' which didn't match the energy of when I saw it performed back in 1987 - also in Birmingham.
