kellognomes
Samba Sisters had a fabulous time today, playing at Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Gala. It's probably our favourite gig of the year - the crowd are so welcoming and appreciative and we are treated like royalty afterwards with sandwiches, pies and pop in the Miners Memorial Hall.
I always like to look at the other floats, which are usually done by the Guides, Beavers, preschool etc and show an amazing amount of creative effort. This wee float, the "Kello-Gnomes" was one of my favourites.
Sarah, Chris and I missed the pies (not that we could have eaten any with our dietary preferences..) because we'd found a baby hedgehog out on the road and were trying to get help for it. It didn't take the water or moistened dog biscuits we offered so Sarah phoned the South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital, whose answerphone told us to ring the SSPCA who said we should put it in a box at the entrance to the Health Center, covered with a cloth and someone would collect it later. I hope it survived.
