They are back

We have had a few days when there have not been many birds around and no songs until the evening. I feel that birds are affected by the heat. Today they are back. Here is our regular Woodpecker. He flies into the tree, then down to the feeder and back up onto the branch. We have had glimpses of a young one too. 

Less heat and sunshine, so cooler, but so humid. At one point we heard a faint rumble of thunder and then about six drops of rain . . .
