Liana and Simone

Yannis - Marianna's Dad- flew back to Athens today, leaving Liana to stay for another 2-3 weeks, probably. She and I both think that Marianna will need her help for at least that long.
Knowing that Yannis had been doing the cooking, in this first week of Simone's life, Richard and I offered to do this evening's meal for them all. Nothing complicated; a pasta dish and green salad, with lemon polenta cake and strawberries afterwards.
A nice, relaxed teatime together... with plenty of time to play with Frieda, and to enjoy a sleepy cuddle with Simone. Simone still needs to put weight on more quickly, and so Jack and Marianna are in a routine of long feeds every two hours.  Simone accepts a bottle with expressed breast milk in it, so at least they can share the load a bit. Needless to say, they both look extremely tired.
In other news.... I am glad that the House of Commons Privileges Committee report has taken a robust approach to Johnson's lies and deceptions. But what a dismal tale.
