Over the Queensferry Crossing and home
Today we returned home after our best summer holiday ever. We are really struggling to remember having enjoyed such an amazing time away at this time of year. It's also a long time since we have returned home from a holiday in Scotland with a bag of clothes that were never unpacked due to an extended heatwave.
We broke our journey home from Pitlochry with a shopping trip in Perth. Here we bought a few bits and pieces for our newly decorated guest suite: two navy blue place-mats to protect the top of the bedside tables; two pale blue bedside lamps; two clear blue water glasses; a batch of facecloths; and a navy blue velvet-covered blanket box.
Once back in Edinburgh we unpacked, put on the first load of washing (of four in total), made a shopping list, had (a late) lunch, popped round to LIDL and Tesco, mowed the lawn, hung out the washing, and so on. You know the picture... There is still some sorting left to do but we should be straight by the weekend.
My blip is of the 'new' Forth road bridge - the Queensferry Crossing - taken through the car window.
Exercise today: walking (~13,000 steps).
