Grading exams

A rare trip in town. Petoskey Michigan, nestled up on the north tip of the mitten. Lake Michigan spread out to the horizon. Katie and I grading our students exams all day in a cute little coffee shop. Breaking up the monotony perusing the streets, stopping into old general stores and bakeries, shoe stores and food co-ops. Splurging on a combination of coffee, chocolate, and goofiness and enjoying a day in town.

I snapped this shot in the local general store. All sorts of goodies spread along the isles. Fancy cheese to local wines, fruit preserves to gourmet chocolate malt balls. I wanted to try to capture the perspective of a child looking up at sugar heaven. A kid in a candy store :)
