McEwan Lantern

In Bristo Square.  Moved from its original position in front of the McEwan Hall. 

Bright sunshine, warmer than yesterday, NE breeze in places. Walked through Queen Street gardens in the morning, finding tidying up work being done on the gas pump building .. there's no water source available, so any used for irrigation or cleaning has to be carried or wheelbarrowed. 

Looked through five of the ten galleries participating in a New Town Art month. Some nice furniture at the Fine Art Society, and the Scottish Gallery has some strong paintings. 

Walked over to the University to a 'Women in AI' panel session in the Bayes Centre.  Not very much AI and no actual technical content; about career trajectories. Not bad as these things go. Met some known and some new people, talked to some students writing up dissertations. Back by the News steps through a warm city.
