Light breaks among the Birks

Twisted, stunted
Struggling for purpose,
Lichen faced
Moss cloaked
Redolent of McLeods long buried

But Light from Heaven reaches down
And through,
Down to the soft,
Green carpet
Where new life crouches,

Feeling warmth
And pushing, pushing up
Towards Light
And Life.
