Exiting the Law Society building
Not, I imagine, the usual type of visitor to the Law Society in Chancery Lane but these street entertainers were part of the street party attractions at this year's London Legal Walk. As it was so hot I chose the river route this year, taking me over Blackfriars Bridge and along the Embankment to Vauxhall Bridge and then back along the other side of the river, past the Houses of Parliament, New Scotland Yard and Somerset House, and back up to the Royal Courts of Justice finishing at the Law Society where a most welcome complimentary drink was accompanied by stirring words of thanks for all the walkers from the Lord Chief Justice. My team has raised £20,000 in sponsorship which we split 50:50 with the London Legal Support Trust, who organise the walk, and our own legal charity.
