Let them eat turnip....

I was a bit sceptical of Cathleen's view that I should use  (uncooked) one of the newly harvested Milan Purple Top turnips in a salad tonight, perhaps mindful of the Therese  Coffey's injunction to "let them eat turnip".  

But in fact spiralled and mixed into a spicy Asian salad , it was very good. 

 Worth further experimentation.
