Storm

One after another.

Last night's problem overcome, I set off at 430 this afternoon amidst a torrential thunderstorm which had been rumbling up the coast as I finished packing.  Inland it was still dry although the clouds threatened a change and as I passed the lake it arrived.  For a few moments the light was very striking but even as I took this picture, big raindrops started to fall and as I pulled out after jumping back into the car, the light had gone and the rain arrived in earnest.

Now settled at Ruth's I have just to re-organise the bags for tomorrows flight to Geneva and try to get a good sleep in before I go.   After a spell of wet weather and alpine storms, right now the forecast for the week I am there is pretty much perfect hiking and wildflower weather.   Lots to look forward to :-)
