Between fen and mountains

Paperasse

Paperasse is the pejorative French word for paperwork, especially the administrative sort, for which France is well known. Today I finished assembling seven sets of documents running to 33 pages which needed to be duplicated and photocopied. I can now make the submissions to the sub prefecture and the main prefecture in Perpignan to comply with the new French laws relating to churches. All the paperwork will have to be signed by two of us with our names, dates and positions, so we will have to have a marathon signing session.
We completed a tennis match that was unfinished from yesterday and my partner and I recovered to win in three sets. This afternoon our English neighbours, who have just arrived, invited us over for tea and a catch up.
