Hawt, hawt, hawt...

Beautiful day with breakfast and lunch outside.  We were looking after two friends and neighbours dogs today as they had gone away for the day leaving their four legged friends at home.. what a day to do that!  Luckily only one needed walking the other was happy in a cool house and just needed water levels checking. 
The heat built to 29C and then the cloud built.. it was a relief except that the cloud hung around as thunder rumbled about 10 miles away.. sadly the rain dried up before it landed and then the break in the cloud came.. it was too beautiful not to take a picture.  Thunder still rumbling in the distance as I took it.  It is cooler but tonight's temperature is going to be the same as the daytime temperature from last week.. seems mad!
A large branch fell off a neighbours cherry tree and landed on top of the wall opposite our house.. our other neighbour whose dog we were looking out normally parks under it and was away for the day.. I don't think it would have damaged her car as it is but the branch above is about 9 inch diameter so if it decides to come down it definitely would have dented something! 
(too close to too many falling branches for comfort)
