The Rain in Spain...
Finallly stopped, and today was the first dry day. Still not that warm though; chilly in the wind when clouds came over.
Fishing was good though on the Embalse Santa Teresa. Maybe 20 carp and 10 barbel, all off the surface on dry flies.
The backdrop of the Sierra de Gredos was impressive, but quite a different lake compared to the huge, remote, silent Embalse de Almendra where most of my fishing here has been. Santa Teresa is far less wild - just off the motorway and near Salamanca - it was relatively busy with walkers, mountain bikers and other fishermen, mostly fishing out of the back of their cars. Chatting to one of them, he'd had a single fish all day! I think I prefer the silence of the Almendra.
