Learning about wildfires

As wildfires blaze across many parts of the northern hemisphere this summer we are all concerned. Do they really start from campfires and portable bbqs? We talked about the ability of glass to set dry shrub alight. We explained how a magnifying glass can also start fires. After school experiments with buckets and grandparents standing by as garden fire wardens.
