Poppies

It started off a bit cool this morning, I actually wore a cardi when I went to get groceries. However by midday it was so hot, it got to 25C. The forecast for tomorrow is 30C, it's a bit crazy how we have gone from a cool start to the summer to this sudden heat. 

There has been a definite lack of poppy fields this year, I know that photographers around here are posting on forums saying 'where are the poppies?' There are a few on the roadside and so today I risked the odd stares from people in cars driving by as I crouched next to the road to take these photos. It did not help that it was very breezy, and quite tricky to get a photo as the poppies were waving wildly in the breeze.

I went an did a hosting session at the exhibition today. The arts centre is open all day and has a lovely café there so people often pop in to the café, so the point of 'hosting' is to talk to those looking at the exhibits and try to get people interested in joining our camera club. I think I was successful in getting one person to join. Quite a few people came to have a look including the judge who judged all the exhibition images. 

In the afternoon I took Xena for another walk, it is getting hot on the walks now and she is a bit pooped afterwards. 

Tomorrow morning my sister arrives! She is currently at the airport waiting for her flight to London.
