Front of the bed

Lots of gaps in my flower bed at the front this year (I'm worried I might have lost 4 my Verbena hastata and Verbena bonariensis to the frosts) and the young plants that went in a few weeks ago are struggling to bulk up with the dry weather. 

But the area at the back of the flower bed is filling up nicely - the sunflowers are growing well, safe from slugs this year!
