The Footbridge

Early this morning we woke to a frost. Brrr…. A morning for warm hat and gloves. Maisie and I walked a route we have not followed for some weeks. Downstream towards Riverside Park and the town centre. Here is the Beaver Road Footbridge over the Taylor River. There was a group of ducks immediately upstream of the bridge. Suddenly they scurried across the surface of the water. And no, it wasn’t Maisie disturbing them.
Once home and warmed up… I spent time doing paperwork. A quick trip into town this afternoon to pay Council Rates, due in a couple of days. Despite sunshine there was a very chilly south-east wind blowing. It was telling us that yes, winter is here.
