Carmageddon

Another busy day. Experiments all morning, all the way up to my lab meeting at lunch. Basically an opportunity to show my boss I've not been slacking off over last few weeks. Thankfully everything always seems to come together at the right time and have enough to present. It's kind of like spinning plates, have to keep enough of them in the air at once in order for things to work.

Drop the fiancée off at the train station in the evening. She is off up to LA for work for 2 days. Depicted is the northbound I-5 from San Diego heading to LA. Although traffic is nowhere near as bad as LA here in San Diego there are many bottlenecks that become snarled around rush hour.

Quiet evening just me and the dog. Have managed to avoid the England vs rep Ireland score this far, so a cold beer and some footy tonight.

Won 11-1 at football last night, bagged a hat trick. Turned out we were playing a team also promoted from our division so not a real test of the new league just yet (although apparently we normally have high scoring draws).
