Bev, Tim and Coquet Island

Another busy day. It was sunny with a cool wind so we decided to go to Warkworth, walk along the beach towards Amble and the Coquet estuary then come back into the wind via the shelter of the river. It was a lovely walk.

A short drive led us to Amble where we’d booked a table at the Old Boathouse. Our guests treated us to fish and chips which were delicious but enormous.

After a walk along to the estuary mouth and a view of Coquet island we drove the 45 minutes to the airport. It’s been a lovely visit but I’m definitely cream-crackered!
