EV7 - Day 8 - Peschiera della Garda

Our so-called rest day, was just that. The rest was enforced by weather rather than by plan. Usually our non-biking day is an opportunity to thoroughly explore the place we are visiting. But instead of biking along the edge of Lake Garda exploring villages along the way, we were stuck inside because it was really unpleasantly rainy outside. By noon, I was getting stir-crazy, so we put on our rain gear to at least walk along the Lungamare of Peschiera, which is a 2 mile walkway along the beach. We weren’t alone. Peschiera is full of young families. I counted at least 10 duck families, each with about 8 ducklings in tow! The walkway was as full of families as the waterfowl in the water. There are lots and lots of kids running about…babies, toddlers, school-age kids and teens, plus Mom, Dad, Grandmom and Granddad, Aunts, Uncles, cousins. The extra shows the Lungamare, but I didn’t quite catch all the family action.
