Picnic lunch view..
We packed a very small picnic and headed off after church on another circular walk; Ide Hill, Toys Hill, Emmetts Gardens, Ide Hill.
We followed the route given in a lovely book D has rediscovered called 20 Walks in Weald Country. Lots of detail and points of interest included, only we obviously took a wrong/too early turn at one point. But never mind, Google Maps came up trumps, albeit the occasional command “proceed to route”… meaning we need to retrace our steps…. !!
Well worth every step and error.
Another beautiful day, and this was our picnic view having reached “ a very welcome memorial bench…with outstanding views over the Weald to the long line of Ashdown Forest on the distant horizon.” The sheep were certainly having a good day too. My extra is The Green at Ide Hill where we began our walk.
For Ferryoons.
Our sisters Zoom was good only Valerie couldn’t get in so joined us on her phone. She has some big results this week then can make some decisions for a holiday for herself and Neil.
