Sitting on the nest

My daughter and I went for a trip in an electric boat on the Norfolk broads today, and while pootling up the River Ant came across this Great crested Grebe sitting on a nest with 4 eggs. As we watched (while the boat drifted dangerously towards the middle of the river!) her partner returned with a fish for her to eat, sadly no pics though as the boat was rocking too much, as we tried to get back on the right side of the river!!
I think she has a lovely face, bless her.
