Beautiful Sanfoin

I noticed this Sanfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) growing beside the road just outside Glynde yesterday on the way home, but sadly we were unable to stop to take any shots as it was on a busy junction. As I needed to check my car was running OK today, I decided to go back with Rosie and get some decent shots.

Sanfoin is a perennial herb of the legume family, and makes great grazing for animals, and great hay!
It is easily identified as it is our only member of the pea family with a stalked spike of beautiful bright pink flowers.
I have longed to photograph this beautiful wild flower for several years now, so being able to today was a huge tick in my book.
