Along the canal

So I was going to go with the rather nice humming bird moth in the extra. However, we went out with John for a meal this evening into the village of Mirepeisset and on the way we walked along a tributary of La Cesse that joined the Canal du Midi and the light through the trees was astonishing.

We have stayed quite local so far, acclimatising to the heat and enjoying the familiar countryside. Tomorrow the guests check out of the gites and we have the actual work of the thing... oh, horror. Still, that's why we're here.

It's fun realising how accustomed I am to high speed Internet. Currently we are on low speed Internet and everything feels sloooooow. I'm typing this while I'm waiting for the main image to upload. But as they say in England, everything works slower in France... it's all good.
