New sowings

Only 3 squash/pumpkin seeds (out of 12!!) germinated in my pumpkin patch - the soil was awfully dry and when I dug around the middle to try and find them, there wasn't anything so I fear the red ants feasted on them. 

So I'm trying again - 2 seeds per hole now and watering under the cloches every other day. Everything crossed, it's getting late in the season!
