The Ant and The Beetle and the Sunset

Our final day in Mourão and a wonderful stay with M and D.  After breakfast a walk was proposed from the old customs post near the Spanish border.  We walked down across a very low part of the lake, the weather has been really good to us, expecting temperatures in the 40's we have been treated to only high 20's so not too uncomfortable.  I had a photo of our hosts on our walk but there are already photos available on the other's blips so I went for something a little more close to the ground - this little ant was trying to carry this beetle, all of several times its own size and weight - it as doing a masterful job, especially with all the obstacles!

I also posted my sunset photo from M and D's land at the end of yesterday.  They have done a wonderful job of making the most of their home, and we were privileged once again to share in their life for a few days in Mourão.  Now praying for rain for them - which seems to be a consistent need.
Spent the rest of the day traveling to Caceres where we had our memorable meal and are staying at the excellent campsite we stayed at on the way down.  Tomorrow we venture up through Spain, intending to spend a few days in France before we take the chunnel once again to the UK
