Postcard from Alsfeld

Here we are again with an overnight stop in Hessen, this time it’s Alsfeld. More half-timbered houses than you can count but still another typical, tourist-dependant town with even more non-half-timbered houses seemingly abandoned or in disrepair. We went for a wander around the old town, got unlucky with our first choice of beergarden (the beer was good but that was it), wandered some more, found a great spot - ‘Zur Gemütlichkeit‘ - and settled in with the locals. The Extra is the view from my chair.
Apparently the Pilgerstoff beer is stronger than I’m used to!

Found myself collecting new beer mats for MrA; tradition dies hard.
