Bachelor button

I first learned of these flowers when I got some in a bouquet given to me in 1972. I loved them so much that I tried to dry them to keep them. But the color did not stay. These are to be enjoyed in the moment.
Just today I learned that they are also called Cornflowers. I have a friend who says her eyes are cornflower blue and now I know exactly what she means. That bright light blue!
