Hike

Today we got up early and headed off into the Olympic National Park, where we walked the first section of a longer hike that I did in 2019. For various reasons we didn't do the full loop. If nothing else, when we got as far as the lake in the picture, there was too much snow to progress easily. Contrast this with the photo I took of a nearby lake in October 2019. Still, it was a satisfying turn-round point. The four hour drive back to return the rental car by 19:00 was less fun, but it had to be done as tomorrow the conference justifying the trip begins in Seattle.
