Laura and Pete got married today. They had two weddings cancelled by COVID rules, then they had a beautiful baby, then Laura endured a course of radio and chemotherapy.

I have never felt so much love crammed into a single church, and I have never before heard such cheering and whooping as the service ended.

Laura and Pete are very special people and are very special to each of us. It came as no surprise that their friends are also special. There was barely a dry eye in the house at times.

I was particularly happy to be reunited with the other hens 3 years after the hen party. They organised themselves into a small army to ensure that Laura has been supported this last year.
