Vulture?

I've been told that there are a lot of vultures flying around this area.   Why, I don't know but I'd certainly like confirmation.  I've yet to hook up with a bird group who could confirm that this is a vulture because he/she is too far away for me to identify.  Anyone who would care to weigh in on this mystery would be welcome.
