Playtime for the boys today. Inonge and Sabina braved the rain and came round, bringing bits for lunch including satsumas which the kids demolished instantly! Funny watching Bean and Sabina play, they are both as stubborn and bossy as each other! Nice to chat to Inonge too :)
Bear had a couple of nappy free times today. He knows what to expect now which is pretty cool! It's not potty training, I have no end-aim to get him wearing pants and "dry" during the day or night yet. He's still only eighteen months old. He can wear nappies and not have to worry. And he can enjoy the freedom of air about his bits too sometimes! I guess it's more elimination communication, letting him get the idea about using the potty. And he's got the idea. I just need to make sure I don't push it too much. This evening he had nappy-free-time number three and was just far too distracted by Bean. Poor kitchen floor. Good job it's moppable.... He was VERY cute though. I tried to get him into a nappy so he wouldn't have to think about getting to the potty, and he refused; then something happened and he wanted a cuddle. Yesterday I'd told him if he wanted a booby cuddle he needed to have a nappy on (I'm not risking that!) so this evening he just went and lay down on his fresh nappy and waited for me to help! Maaaaan I love that kid.
When Bear finally had a nap this afternoon Steve went out and collected a mattress for his bed - the power of social networking, one person puts a shout out on fb asking for a mattress, another person puts a shout out saying they have a mattress if anyone wants it, another person is friends with both of them and puts them in touch, and hey presto Bear has a new bed!! He now has a full size single mattress on the bottom of Bean's bed. The boys were pretty happy about that and called it their new trampoline! Of course they weren't interested in going to sleep after that....
