Fighter

In need of refreshment, this Northern Cardinal male appears to have been fighting. He is losing a feather and his beak is broken as he lands on the feeder. I hope that he was the victor.

We think that birds have it easy. We think they just float around in the sky and enjoy the scenery, but in Nature life can be tough. It is a jungle out there!
