Wedding ready

I was delighted to be back in the abbey as a welcomer today after two weeks away. It was looking glorious; the sunshine, the beautiful flowers and the red Pentecost altar & pulpit frontal all shining.
It was a sad goodbye today to our director of music who is retiring, after seeing the pipe organ project through to fruition. In the short term we will have visiting organists. We had a presentation, cake and he gave us a few twiddly tunes. He is playing a concert on the organ in June so lots to look forward to.
I delivered all the magazines and then came home.
