Grey Heron

The youngest female heron was again the only one who met me at the gate. She got a great undisturbed feed then flew back to the loch. I made my way round the loch and the Young one (Pictured) flew over to the clearing. I started feeding her when she was joined by the youngest one again back for more. I split the food between them and gave a bit to the crow. I noticed a coot picking up a tiny flake of fish left by the young one. It took it straight over to it's chick and fed it. I managed to land a sizable piece of fish right next to it which was eagerly grabbed and fed to the chick.
The youngest female has finally shed her wing feather!
