Kite

Today's the day .................... for a constant companion

Not a good picture I know, but actually the only one that I took today.

I've been out working in the garden all day and this kite has been my constant companion.  It was sometimes very close and sometimes high in the sky - but always the master of its craft, gliding effortlessly through the air.  It was very vocal too, specially when it was being mobbed by crows or other birds.  That distinctive cry pin-pointing it in the sky, so that I always heard it before I saw it.

I did have my camera with me and I tried several times to get a good shot of it but it was always one step ahead of me - and away before I could focus in.  So this is the best I could do - for today, at any rate .................!
