Today's the day ........................ to play games

It was Tim and Dominic's last day with us - and although it started off a bit damp, by lunchtime things were improving.

We went for a walk round Barrhill Wood (see extra) this morning, really to check out whether the red squirrels were around.  We didn't see any today, but there were lots of clues that they were alive and well.  'Merlin' was working overtime and told us that it could hear - woodpeckers, wrens, tree-creepers, chaffinches, blackbirds, blackcaps and chiff-chaffs.

There was just time for a quick bite to eat - and to try out Dominic's new tennis racket set in the garden, before they had to set off home.  We've had a lovely few days with them.  Hope it won't be too long before we see them again ..........!
