The Spotty House
We visited the famously quirky old market town of Bishop's Castle on the Shropshire/Wales border. The main aim was for me to have a look at the stained glass windows in the church of St John the Baptist. I was going to blip the window by Henry Holiday but found myself drawn to the quirky town houses, many of which are painted in bright colours or with designs on the walls. We found all sorts of themes: Morris dancers, elephants, hop vines, jigsaw pieces, zips etc but my favourite was the Spotty House. Super place to visit, and the stained glass windows are excellent.
