Castle Meadows
There were huge swathes of buttercups on part of our afternoon dog walk in Castle Meadows next to the river Thames at Wallingford, Oxfordshire. This was the site of an enormous Norman castle guarding the river crossing from the 11th century. It was largely destroyed in the English Civil War.
